Delaware State Parks Kicks Off Summer Concert Series at Bellevue State Park on June 5
DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Parks announces the start of the 2008 Summer Concert Series with the Diamond State Concert Band appearing at the bandshell in Bellevue State Park at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5. The Summer Concert Series is free of charge, with park entrance fees in effect. Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket, a picnic supper, and enjoy a wide variety of music under the stars.
The concerts are featured at four parks on different days of the week. All begin at 6:30 p.m. The Bellevue State Park Series is held on Thursdays and Sundays through Aug. 31. The Killens Pond State Park concerts are held on Fridays from June 13 to Aug. 15. Concerts at White Clay Creek State Park are Wednesdays from June 11 through Aug. 27, and visitors may enjoy concerts at the Rockford Tower on Mondays from June 16 through Aug. 11.
Featured music styles range from jazz to rock, bluegrass, big band, Zydeco and many more. With so many concerts, so much music, and four different parks to choose from, every visitor is expected to have a good time.
