Question. I caught a rainbow trout that was full of eggs.  Can the eggs be used as bait?

Answer. Eggs from game fish can be used as bait providing you are fishing a water where the use of bait is not restricted.  On some waters only the use of artificial lures and flies are allowed and on these waters you cannot use fish eggs or other baits that are not artificial. A definition of types of lures and flies considered artificial is found on page 7 of the fishing regulations booklet.
