Harrisville State Park Holding ‘GO-Get Outdoors’ Explorer Guide Weekend on June 21-22
Harrisville State Park is offering a “GO-Get Outdoors Explorer Guide Weekend” on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22. The weekend will highlight the ever-popular State Park Explorer Program that is presently featured at 39 Michigan state parks.
Ranger Margaret, who has five seasons of experience as the Harrisville and Negwegon Explorer Guide, will offer guided walking tours to see the natural and cultural resources of Alcona County. She will also present a number of outdoor educational programs. Visitors are invited to join her and tour the City of Harrisville on the newly-established Alcona County Heritage Route walking trail and go on a special tour of Sturgeon Point Lighthouse on the beautiful Lake Huron shore.
Schedules of the various interpretive programs and tours that will be held throughout the weekend will be posted at Harrisville State Park the week prior to the event.

All motor vehicles entering a state park or recreation area must display a Motor Vehicle Permit, available for purchase at the entrance. Cost is $24 for resident annual and $6 for resident daily. A non-resident annual is $29 and a non-resident daily is $8.
