Applications Now Being Accepted For Wapanocca National Wildlife Refuge Quota Gun Deer HuntTURRELL – The modern gun deer hunt at Wapanocca National Wildlife Refuge in northeast Arkansas will again be a quota hunt. The deer hunt will be held Nov. 8-9.

To apply for one of the permits, print or type your full name, mailing address and telephone numberon one side of a 3½ x 5 index card or standard postcard.

To apply as a group, with a maximum of three hunters, list the required information for all applicants on the same card. Applicants under the age of 16 must apply with an adult age 21 or older as a party (both on same card).  Duplicated, unclear or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Return the completed application by Aug. 15 to: Central Arkansas Refuges, 26320 Highway 33 South, Augusta, AR 72006-9713. 

Successful applicants will be notified in September and must pay a $12.50 fee for the permit.
