i think this is very important to control the population like this. useing the E callers are very good too. i just started snow goose hunting and i have found it is extremly hard to hunt these birds. reason being " JUMPERS". these birds are surviving because the jumpers make it almost impossible for a hunter to hunt them right. guys that follow these birds to just wait till they land in a field then try to shoot them that way. its not right at all. these birds are so nervous anywhere they go. they have no rest time. i think e callers should be in all the time to give us hunters any chance at all. farmers will let anyone walk in on their property to shoot them.

I think this conservation hunt is a great idea and with the use of e-callers (if i understood the new regs correctly) will allow pennsylvania waterfowl hunters to experience some great extended hunting. Growing up in the midwest where snow geese will cover the whole sky, I know what some of these more liberal regs can offer the hunter........ Some great sky carp shooting.....

That is really interesting that they are hunting them to control population - I live in PA and don't think I have ever seen a snow goose before! Now deer is another problem...definitely way too many of them! I have never driven around at night without seeing them or worrying about hitting them...not to mention they devour our garden!
