Outdoor Skills Workshop Offered to Minnesota Women This Fall in LanesboroWomen are invited to learn basic outdoor skills in a supportive atmosphere during the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Becoming an Outdoors Woman annual fall workshop, held Sept. 11-13 at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center near Lanesboro.

Classes offered include kayaking, canoeing, high ropes, fly-fishing, falconry, archery, upland dog training, biking, nature journaling, rifle/shotgun shooting and nature hikes. Participants sign up for three classes during the weekend.

Lodging, meals, instruction, equipment and evening entertainment are all included in one low workshop fee. To request a conference brochure, which explains registration costs, go to or call the DNR Information Center at 651-296-6157 or toll free 888-MINNDNR (646-6367).
