Water Body Report
BOB SANDLIN Water off color; 54–62 degrees; 3.06′ low Black bass are fair to good on wacky rigs, spinnerbaits and Senkos. White bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on trotlines.
CADDO Water murky; 55–63 degrees; 0.52′ high. Black bass are fair on Senkos, flukes, spinnerbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut shad.
CONROE Water fairly clear; 1.46′ low. Black bass are fair on pumpkinseed soft plastics and crankbaits in 15 – 25 feet. Striped bass are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, and shrimp.
FORK Water fairly clear; 53–61 degrees; 3.28′ low. Black bass are fair to good on soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on prepared baits under roosting cormorants.
HOUSTON COUNTY Water clear; 60 degrees; 0.07′ high. Black bass to 6 pounds are good on small chrome Rat–L–Traps and red Senkos in 6 – 10 feet. Crappie are good on live minnows near the dam over brush and around piers. Channel and blue catfish are slow.
LAKE O’ THE PINES Water stained; 53–61 degrees; 0.26′ high. Black bass are slow to fair on Texas rigs, weightless flukes or 5″ Yum Dingers and Rat–L–Traps. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut shad. Bream are fair on red wigglers.
LIVINGSTON Water fairly clear; 57–60 degrees; 0.26′ high. Black bass are good on crankbaits, spinnerbaits, soft plastics, and Rat–L–Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows. Blue catfish are good on shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
MARTIN CREEK Water fairly clear; 5.26′ low. No report available.
MONTICELLO Water fairly clear; 61–82 degrees; 0.84′ low. Black bass are good on Rat–L–Traps, weightless flukes, Texas rigs and chatterbaits. No reports on crappie. No reports on catfish
SAM RAYBURN Water lightly stained; 56–61 degrees; 7.75′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon crankbaits and Rat–L–Traps in 15 – 25 feet. White bass are fair on minnows and Li’l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows. Bream are fair on worms. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and stinkbait.

TOLEDO BEND Water stained; 57–62 degrees; 7.37′ low. Black bass are good on watermelon red cut tail worms on drop shots in 25 – 35 feet early, and later on red crawfish crankbaits in 10 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on shiners and watermelon and chartreuse tube jigs. Bream are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on liver and bloodbait over baited holes. Yellow catfish are slow.
WRIGHT PATMAN Water off color; 52–60 degrees; 3.99′ high. Black bass are fair on Rat–L–Traps, flukes, Texas rigs and slow rolled spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait and cut shad.
