Lake Conway

Bates Field and Stream (501-470-1846) said the water is low and is beginning to clear. Bream are fair on redworms and crickets. Crappie are biting well in 1 to 2 feet of water on pink minnows, white or white/chartreuse Stinger jigs, and on pearl white baby shads. Bass are fair in shallow water on chartreuse/root beer or pineapple colored Bandit crankbaits, and on watermelon seed Sweet Beavers and Baby Brush Hogs. Catfishing is fair on trotlines baited with large minnows and small bream.

Dan at Gold Creek Marina (501-607-0590) had no report.

Little Red River

Lindsey’s Resort (501-302-3139) said the water is low and clear with very little generation. Trout are excellent on wax worms, corn and Power Bait. Marabou jigs are working well for brown trout as well.

Greers Ferry

As of Tuesday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reports the lake’s elevation at 454.25 feet MSL (Normal conservation pool – 461 MSL).

Tommy Cauley of Fish Finder Guide Service had no report.

Cody S. Smith of www.fishgreersferry.com said the lake remains low with water surface temperatures ranging from 44 to 49 degrees. Over the last week, we have seen an increase in fishing success on most all species. Walleyes are running and beginning their spawn up most feeder creeks and the rivers that have any type of flow. Crappie are beginning to stage in some of their prespawn locations. Depths of 15 to 35 feet with some type of wood cover close to the bottom are holding fish. Most crappie are holding tight to the bottom, but will come up to eat if tempted.

Harris Brake Lake

Coffee Creek Landing (501-889-2745) said the water is low and muddy. The surface temperature is 49 to 50 degrees. Crappie are fair on minnows and white/pink head jigs fished in 8 to 10 feet of water. Bass and catfish are slow. No report on bream.

Lake Overcup

Overcup Landing (501-354-9007) said the lake is still low and fishing is slow.

Brewer Lake

Overcup Landing (501-354-9007) said the lake is 6 to 8 feet low and fishing is slow.

Lake Maumelle

Jolly Roger’s Marina said the water has come up about 7 inches, but is still 8.7 feet below the spillway. The water temperature is 52 degrees. Largemouth bass are biting well on crankbaits, jigs and CC spoons fished 10 to 20 feet deep in the mid-section of the lake. Spotted bass are biting well on grubs and jighead worms in 12 to 20 feet of water around artificial structures. White bass are excellent and have begun moving to the west end of the lake. On warmer days, they’re moving toward the bank at chimney. The spring run should begin in the next week, and some rain may kick it off. Crappie are excellent on small jigs and small pink minnows fished around structure in 18 feet of water. Catfishing is slow on cut shad and prepared bait.

Hatchet Jack’s Sport Shop (501-758-4958) said the water is low. Crappie are biting well in 10 feet of water on live minnows, Roadrunners and Bobby Garland Swimming Minnows in Patriot Shad.

Lake Valencia

Hatchet Jack’s Sport Shop (501-758-4958) said trout fishing is good on Berkley Power Bait and nightcrawlers.

Sunset Lake

Turbyfill’s Outdoor Sports (501-315-3061) said the water is stained and at normal level. Crappie are fair on minnows fished around brush in 6 feet of water. Bass are fair on bright-colored jerk baits and crawdad-colored crankbaits in 3 to 6 feet of water. Catfishing is slow.

Saline River Access in Benton

Turbyfill’s Outdoor Sports (501-315-3061) said the water is stained and at normal level. Crappie are fair on minnows fished around brush in 6 feet of water. Bass are fair on bright-colored jerk baits and crawdad-colored crankbaits in 3 to 6 feet of water. Catfishing is slow. Walleye are excellent on jigs tipped with large minnows.

Arkansas River at Morrilton

Charley’s Hidden Harbor in Oppelo had no report.

Arkansas River (Maumelle Pool)

Hatchet Jack’s Sport Shop (501-758-4958) said crappie are fair to good in the Maumelle River and Little Maumelle River on pink minnows, chartreuse/white or electric chicken Bobby Garland’s 2-inch shad baits.

Arkansas River (Little Rock Pool)

Vince Miller from Fish ’N Stuff said the water is at normal level, but all fishing is slow.

Hatchet Jack’s Sport Shop (501-758-4958) said crappie are biting fairly well on 2-inch minnows fished under a slip-cork rig below Murray Lock and Dam. All other species are slow.

McSwain Sports Center (501-945-2471) had no report.

Clear Lake

McSwain Sports Center (501-945-2471) said the water is low and stained. Crappie are biting well on minnows and jigs in 3 to 4 feet of water.

Peckerwood Lake

Herman’s Landing (870-241-3731) said the water is dingy and is 5 feet below full pool. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfishing is fair on minnows. No report on any other species.

Lake Pickthorne

Hatchet Jack’s Sport Shop (501-758-4958) had no report.
