“Fun with Fossils” workshop will be held Saturday, March 19, from 1-3 p.m. at the Clifty Falls State Park nature center.

Launch your fossil hunt with an introduction to fossils found in southeast Indiana, including notes on their marine origins and ecological significance. Participants will learn fossil identification and collect fossils off site.

Program participants will carpool to a roadside area outside the park to collect genuine 450 million-year-old marine fossils from ancient reef deposits. Bring a shoe box or similar size container to hold fossil finds.

This program is great for families. Children ages 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

A program fee of $2 per person age 5 and up will be collected. Admission to the park will be free.
