Portland, ME – Fly Fishing in Maine (FFIM) is partnering with local sponsors, including L.L.Bean, HighTower Advisors and Eldredge Brothers Fly Shop, to host the 2012 Fly Fishing Film Tour this coming weekend. This year’s tour features selections from this year’s selections include clips featuring perennial fly fishing destinations like Montana, Florida, Idaho, Belize and Alaska.
The event will be held on March 2nd (7pm screening) and 3rd (4pm and 7pm screenings) at the Frontier Cafe and Cinema in Brunswick. The Frontier just recently underwent major renovations and now includes a full-service restaurant and bar, in additional to the cozy ambiance of its high-definition theater. Reservations are recommended for those wishing to dine before the films.

The event festivities will also include door prize raffles, including a two-night stay at Grant’s Camps, and some silent auction items, including goods from Patagonia, Hardy, L.L.Bean and others. Also on hand will be the national sales manager for Hardy, with full selection of Hardy and Grey’s rods and reels for anglers to scope out.
All proceeds from this event will go to the FFIM Grassroots Grant fund. FFIM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Past recipients of FFIM Grassroots Grants have included Trout Unlimited, Casting For Recovery, Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, and many more.
