“Learn to Paddle” at Lake Pueblo State Park in Colorado
PUEBLO, Colo. – Lake Pueblo State Park, in conjunction with Colorado State University-Pueblo Outdoor Pursuits and The Edge: Ski, Paddle and Pack, is hosting “Learn to Paddle,” a moonlight kayak and canoe event. Enjoy the full moon on the lake Monday, July 22, from 8 to 10 p.m.
If you have a kayak, canoe or paddleboard, bring it to the south boat ramp at 7:45 p.m. If you do not have a kayak or canoe and would like to try it, this is your chance. CSU-P and The Edge will provide rentals for $15, which includes the kayak or canoe, life jacket, paddles and lights. Kayak and canoe instructors will be on hand for instruction and to paddle along with the group. This is a weather permitting event. Spaces are limited so pre-registration is a must for both rentals and “bring your own” boats.
For further information and to pre-register contact Ranger Darcy Mount at darcy [dot] mount [at] state [dot] co [dot] usor 719-561-9320.
Parks passes are required on all vehicles entering the park, and the $15 rental fee does not include a parks pass.
