Student art show sponsored by Grissom Air Museum
Attention Hoosier kids in kindergarten through high school. It is time for your artistic abilities to shine and be recognized.
The Grissom Air Museum is pleased to announce its second aviation art contest. The contest is open to all Indiana students in grades K-12. Students are invited to draw or paint any American aircraft or famous American aviator.
All entries must be postmarked by September 24. Awards will be given in several categories and the young artists will be awarded numerous prizes in each category including trophies, ribbons and art supplies. Winning works, along with all entries (space permitting), will be displayed at the museum in October.
Entry for the contest is free, and all contestants will receive a coupon for a free admission to the museumís 5-story observation tower. Teachers and schools having strong participation will receive special gifts.
For more information and contest rules, contact the museum at (765) 688-2654 or visit www.GrissomAirMuseum.com. The museum is open 10am-4pm, Tuesday-Sunday. The planes on outdoor display can be viewed 7am-dusk daily. Admission is free.
