ATV Safety Classes a Good Idea for Many Types of Off-Highway Vehicles

With autumn weather approaching, many people will be heading into the backcountry on all-terrain vehicles to recreate. The Arizona Game and Fish Department is asking people to minimize their impacts on the land.

“ Please stay on existing roads and trails to help preserve wildlife habitat,” says Marijke Van Fleet, a spokeswoman for the Arizona Game and Fish Department. “It is also important to know the terrain and the vehicle you’re using.”

The ATV Safety Institute has classes teaching safe ATV operation. Visit atvsafety.org or call 1 (800) 877-2887.
