Coastal Cleanup 2003 Postponed Until September 20

Weather Conditions Cause Postponement of Delaware's
Largest Coastal Cleanup

High tides, high winds and the full moon have created conditions that make it impossible to walk on most of Delaware's seashore and bayshore beaches. These conditions are predicted to persist through tomorrow, ruling out a safe and effective coastal cleanup effort.

Delaware's annual Coastal Cleanup has been rescheduled for next Saturday, September 20 from 9am until 12 noon.

Volunteers who wish to contact DNREC about next week's cleanup should check the Coastal Cleanup link on the DNREC website next week for information., or contact Jason Gleockler by phone at (302)739-3406.
