Pleasant Lake Boat Ramp Improvements Begin Today

CONCORD, N.H. -- As a necessary first step in the development of a new access facility at Pleasant Lake in Deerfield, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will close the boat access facility at this location for approximately four weeks beginning today, September 12. Following completion of preliminary work at the site, Fish and Game will work to procure permits that will allow for the future construction of a new parking area and a refurbished boat ramp. Interested anglers or boaters wanting to use this waterbody after October 20, 2003, should call the N.H. Fish and Game Department at (603) 271-2224 to verify that the ramp is open.

N.H. Fish and Game works in partnership with the public to conserve, manage and protect the state's fish, wildlife and marine resources and their habitats. The Department's Access and Engineering Division acquires land for public water access sites, refurbishes existing sites and builds new public access areas.
