TOUR SET FOR RED BUFFALO RANCH
Afternoon on the range with Bill Kurtis and Stan Herd

SEDAN — On Saturday, Sept. 27, outdoors men and women should turn off the football games and gather family and friends for a special afternoon at the exclusive Red Buffalo Ranch in Sedan. A day of outdoor fun is planned with a homemade chuck wagon meal, bluegrass music, a cowboy poet, wagon rides, a live snakes program, and other special activities.

There is no charge for admission, and a chuck wagon meal is provided for the first 50 kids. Adults will be charged $6 for a cowboy sandwich, homemade rolls, and warm peach cobbler.

At 1:30 p.m., nature hikes and wagon rides will be taken to a special dedication for internationally-known crop artist Stan Herd’s new rock piece, “Prairiehinge.”

After the event, everyone is welcome to attend a special reception with refreshments, music, and host Bill Kurtis at the Prairie Art Gallery from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Participants should meet in Sedan at the Red Buffalo Gift Shop at 10:45 a.m. From there, a caravan will head to the famous tallgrass prairie of Kurtis’ Red Buffalo Ranch. Bring the entire family for a unique day of fun where Kansas history comes to life.
