PUBLIC WORKSHOP ON ARTIFICIAL REEF STRATEGIC PLAN
September 22, 2003
The fourth in a series of public workshops on Florida’s artificial reef strategic plan will be held Tuesday, Sept. 23 in Destin. The workshop is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. at the Destin Community Center, 101 Stahlman Avenue.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has worked with a diverse group of stakeholders to formulate the plan to guide the state’s artificial reef program. All interested persons are invited to participate at the workshop.
Previous workshops were held this summer in Jacksonville, Sarasota and Hollywood.
A copy of the plan is available at http://marinefisheries.org/publicannounce.htm. The FWC is accepting written comments on the plan through Sept. 29.
The FWC will consider all comments on the plan at its Nov. 19-21 regular public meeting in the Florida Keys.
