Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park Mansion by Candlelight October 10-11

   Visitors are invited to see Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park near Parkersburg , West Virginia , as it is transformed by candlelight on October 10 and 11. This candlelight tour is a chance to visit Blennerhassett Island 's exciting social life of 200 years ago. Let the magic of an autumn night, costumed reenactors, the sounds of music, dancing and stories take you back to a bygone era.

 

  While there, enjoy a pig roast, horse-drawn wagon ride, visit the gift shop and warm yourself by an inviting bonfire while listening to music and stories of local folklore.

 

  The boat departs for the island at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and the pig roast is served at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Price for a boat ride and mansion tour is $15 for adults and $10 for children, the pig roast is $11 and a wagon ride is $4.50 for adults and $2.50 for children. Space is limited and reservations are required.
