Come
out of your winter hibernation for some ice fishing fun!
Bring the whole family to Cloe Lake for a
Family Ice Fishing Clinic on Saturday, February 2, from
10:30am-2:30pm. Families will receive one-on-one instruction and
guidance from seasoned ice anglers and learn basic ice fishing skills
like knot tying, baiting the hook, jigging and using tip-ups. Basic
ice safety information will also be covered. Participants of all ages
will have an opportunity to fish – no fishing license required. All
equipment will be provided or you may bring your own. Hot food and
beverages will be available for purchase.
For more information, contact David Smith at 814-938-8397 or dls2@penn.com.
Pre-registration is recommended. This clinic will be held rain, snow
or shine, as long as ice conditions permit. This event is co-sponsored
by the Jefferson County Federation of Sportsman’s Clubs and the
Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission.
Cloe Lake, a 27-acre reservoir managed by the Fish and Boat
Commission for public fishing and boating, is located two miles east
of Punxsutawney on Cloe Lake Road.
