Angel Lake Kids Fishing Derby

This derby is for kids 15 and under and is sponsored by the US Forest Service (USFS), Wells Rural Electric Company (WREC), Wells Chamber of Commerce, Wells Family Resource Center, US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW).

Besides the fishing derby, kids will have the chance to visit educational stations including a NDOW fish stocking truck, boating safety, fly tying, casting, fish identification and cleaning. There will be prizes awarded in 5 age groups as well as a free drawing for prizes from participants at large. Following the derby, there will be a free chilidog lunch served for the whole family.

Angel Lake Kids Fishing DerbyRegistration starts at 7:30 and the derby starts at 8:15. There is no charge for the derby but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
