April 9, 2008 · Email This Post · Print This Article

CASPER - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department wants to remind Wyoming women that the application deadline for the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman camp is April 15.

Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) is an outdoor skills program offered by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department each summer.  Wyoming’s BOW camp will be held June 20-22, 2008, at the Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp outside of Dubois, Wyo. The weekend-long workshop introduces women to a variety of activities they can enjoy in Wyoming’s great outdoors - from hunting and shooting to fishing, canoeing or wildlife photography.

Applications must be received by the Game and Fish by 5 p.m. on April 15.  Faxes and e-mails will not be accepted.  The three-day event costs $150, which includes all meals, lodging and equipment.  Space is limited to fifty women, and final participants will be selected through a random draw.

Applications are available on the Game and Fish Web site at http://gf.state.wy.us by clicking on “Education” then “Becoming an Outdoors-Woman.”  Applications should be mailed to: Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Becoming an Outdoors-Woman, 3030 Energy Lane Suite 100, Casper, WY  82604.
