Spring Mill State Park To Host Pioneer Heritage Days, Aug. 2-3 Step back in time on Aug. 2- 3 in the Pioneer Village at Spring Mill State Park to celebrate Pioneer Heritage Days. During the fun-filled weekend, visitors can explore the life of a pioneer with toys, games, leather working, hog-calling, and other pioneer activities and demonstrations.

The annual cornmeal cook-off contest will take place during Pioneer Heritage Days on Aug. 2. Participants can enter their best cornmeal recipes for judging at the park’s grist mill.

“Our Pioneer Heritage Days is a great opportunity for the whole family to enjoy history together,” noted volunteer coordinator Coletta Prewitt.

For more information call (812) 849-4129.

Park admission during the event is $5 per vehicle for in-state residents and $7 per vehicle for out-of-state residents.
